A Tribute to My Mom

Nung bata pa ako, ang tingin ko kay mommy para syang TIGRE dahil sa sobrang tapang at angas nya.

She was a fiesty woman that nobody could defeat.

Manghihiram ka talaga ng mukha sa aso kapag hinamon mo sya ng away.

Her words could leave scars in your heart all the way to your soul.

Palagi kaming nag-aalala ni kuya para sa kanya dahil nga masyado syang matapang.

Baka maraming magalit sa kanya.

Pero wala syang pakialam lalo na’t sya ang inaapi.

She was a woman of courage.

Walang kinatatakutan basta nasa tama.

Pero sa kabila ng lahat, isa sya sa pinakamapagbigay na taong kilala ko (maliban sa namayapa kong lolo).

Maswerte kami at sya ang nanay namin.

Nasaksihan ko kung pano sya nakipaglaban para sa kinabukasan namin ng kuya ko.

My mom raised us single-handedly.

Maybe that’s why she became that brave.

And now that I have started to see things the way she did, I also have started wearing the crown she used to wear when I was a little kid.

And I’m so glad that it fits me very well.

Pero ngayon ko lang na-realize na mali pala ako ng akala.

Hindi pala tigre ang mommy ko.

Dahil kung tigre sya, bakit sya nanganak ng DRAGON?

I’ve been wanting to learn and practice playing Coldplay’s “The Scientist” on my dusty keyboards.

I think I’ve found my biggest motivation now.

Then will meet with the drums set next after so many years that my hands are getting all rusty.😊🎵🎹🎶
